These terms apply to your use of the ProjectGive website, the member community and the giving services at https://app.projectgive.com.ng, operated by ProjectGive Foundation ("we", "us", "our"). By using the service you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.
1. Who may use ProjectGive
You must be at least 18 years old to apply for membership or to create a community account. You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.
2. Membership applications
Submitting an application does not create membership. Applications are reviewed by the ProjectGive Management Team, who may approve or decline an application at their discretion, and may ask for further information before deciding. We may pause new applications at any time.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity carried out under your account. Choose a strong password, do not share it, and tell us promptly at info@projectgive.com.ng if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. We strongly recommend turning on two-factor authentication.
We may suspend or close an account that is being used in breach of these terms, or where we reasonably believe it has been compromised.
4. Community rules
The member community exists so that members can encourage one another and coordinate the work. When posting or messaging, you agree not to:
- Post anything unlawful, abusive, harassing, hateful, defamatory or deliberately misleading
- Share another person's private information without their permission
- Post content you do not have the right to share
- Use the community or member directory to advertise, to solicit funds for yourself, or to send unsolicited marketing
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service, or to disrupt it
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give us permission to display and store that content as part of running the community. We may remove content that breaches these rules and may suspend accounts that do so repeatedly.
5. Contributions and donations
Contributions to ProjectGive are voluntary. Online payments are handled by our payment provider; your card details are entered on their secure page and are never stored on ProjectGive systems.
A contribution is treated as recorded once it has been verified by the ProjectGive Management Team. Where you notify us of a bank transfer, verification may take a few working days. A receipt is issued for verified contributions.
Because contributions fund charitable work that is committed and spent, they are not generally refundable. If you believe a payment was made in error or was not authorised, contact us promptly at info@projectgive.com.ng and we will look into it fairly.
We apply contributions towards our charitable purposes. Where you state a preference for a particular project, we will make reasonable efforts to honour it, but we may apply funds to another purpose where the stated project is fully funded, cannot proceed, or has been completed.
6. Our content
The ProjectGive name, logo, written material, photographs and designs on this site belong to ProjectGive Foundation or are used with permission. You may not copy or reuse them for commercial purposes without our written permission. You may share links to our pages freely.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the service available and secure, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. We may suspend the service for maintenance, upgrades or security reasons.
8. Third-party links
Our pages may link to other websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by Nigerian law, we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and forms part of these terms.
11. Ending your use of the service
You may close your community account at any time by contacting us. We may end or suspend your access if you breach these terms, or where we must do so by law. Ending your access does not affect records we are required to keep.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date shown on this page tells you when they last changed, and where a change is significant we will tell members directly. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction over any dispute.
